The lift was working this morning around 0930. The out of order signs have been removed. I wonder if someone worked on it or whether it just got over whatever the problem was????

Countrywide didn't get back to me today. But they typically take four to six months to respond so this wasn't a surprise. I think there must be a contractor looking after the lift which is fairly typical but I don't know who. Often there is a number to call printed in the lift but not in this case.

I'm not really able to make calls from work during the day but if I could then I'd call Crest to find out what to do about this. I suspected the door sensor may be at fault and tried brushing the dust out of it to no avail.
So yes if you could call them to find out who maintains the lift and to report the issue that would be great.

[Hi Steve.
Only just spotted this post - tried to call Crest about an hour ago and left message. Will try again tomorrow.
Thanks

The lift in block B is 'stuck' on floor three. I believe the sensor that re-opens the door has some kind of problem as the doors will not close, thus the lift will not move.

I have reported this to Crest who didn't seem very interested at all, and said to call back in the morning. I cannot do this myself unfortunately.

Can someone call Crest on 01932 580444 during the day to report this?

Crest are rubbish. They said they have logged the issue, but won't actually do anything about it unless someone calls back. I said this was madness, but nothing surprises me.

I have also sent an email to Countrywide - the management company.
